What to bring

You are responsible for your Montana Fishing License, we cannot get it for you. You may purchase one on line at Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks Administration. Montana weather is unpredictable. Please be prepared for all kinds of weather regardless of the time of year.

Refund / cancellation

If I cancel the trip for any reason, you will receive a full refund of the $200.00 deposit. If you cancel the trip 30 days in advance, a full refund of the deposit will be issued. If you cancel the trip within 48 hours of the planned departure date or you don't show up as scheduled, the deposit will not be refunded. Weather and wind are a factor in every fishing trip; we will try our best to work around it when needed; cancellations for weather conditions are at the captain's discretion.

Full day float trips

These trips are on the Clark Fork, Blackfoot, or Bitterroot rivers. These trips are a full day on the water. We are usually out for up to ten hours from when we meet to when we part ways. They all include drinks and a full lunch and snacks; all the flies; tippet; etc. Times can change based on the environment.

2/3 of a day float trip

These trips are on the Clark Fork, Blackfoot, or Bitterroot rivers. Designed for guests with time restrictions, or if fishing a full day is not practical due to river or weather conditions, these trips are between 4 and 5 hours on the water. These trips include drinks and snacks only.

Rock Creek adventures

These trips are on Rock Creek, western Montana's blue ribbon trout creek.

Casting classes

Presentation of the fly on the water is a critically important skill to master. Often, the cast makes the difference between catching and not catching. I offer casting classes for $30.00 per hour. - Book me

Clark Fork River Lodge - all full-service, all-inclusive cabin packages

The Clark Fork River Lodge is located on the banks of the beautiful Lower Clark Fork River, northeast of St. Regis, Montana. A scenic stone pathway carves out an easy trail to the river, where trout fishermen can match wits with browns, rainbows, and the native cutthroat. Guests may also simply relax and savor the view from the open deck of the lodge. During your stay, enjoy the hot springs and fine dining a few miles up the road. Complete the day with an evening campfire, and fully take in the starscape of the Big Sky. The lodge has a rustic atmosphere, with custom-made log beds and wood floors, yet guests will appreciate the modern conveniences of a full kitchen and three full bathrooms.
